Welcome to Damn Joan No.2! The new year always brings change, and this month’s theme, (Re)Birth, is all about the hopeful, thoughtful, exuberant, painful, and transcendent possibilities of renewal. Sometimes we transform ourselves with purpose—and sometimes we form a resistance, whether personal or political.
